What you need to know about lash lifts
Lash lifts are all the rage lately, and for a good reason! They’re a great way to add extra volume and definition to your lashes without committing to extensions. If you’re thinking of getting a lash lift, there are a few things you need to do before your appointment to ensure the best results. Keep reading for my top tips!
First off, avoid wearing waterproof mascara to your appointment. The chemicals formulated inside make it extremely hard to remove the harsh coating off the lashes to allow the perming solution to penetrate the hair follicle.
Secondly, if you are using a serum or lash growth product, it’s best to stop three days before your appointment.
This miracle treatment will replace the need for an eyelash curler. You can say goodbye to it for good! Lifts do this by curling and shaping your lashes that last 6 – 8 weeks.
Most Lash lifting services include a tint, and I’d highly recommend it to complete the look. A special dye is used to darken the hair, offering weeks of ultra-black lashes without the help of mascara.
You should avoid wearing eye makeup immediately after the appointment, getting your lashes wet or using oil-based products 24 hours afterwards. But beyond that, there’s not much you need to do to take care of your newly lifted lashes.
