Keeping Up With The Latest Lash And Brow Trends For 2023

In the beauty world, lash, and brow trends come and go faster than you can say “Instagram filter.” When you’ve gotten used to one look, another comes along and takes its place. Trust me, even as a beauty salon owner, I’ve been caught by this too!

Previously in 2020, we saw a continuation of the natural look for lashes and brows. While this was heavily influenced by the pandemic and being stuck at home, we used fewer products to achieve a more natural look. Both lashes and brows use tinted brow gels or mascara instead of an eyebrow pencil or eyeliner.

In 2021, we saw a resurgence of the classic cat-eye look. This look is achieved by using liquid eyeliner to create a winged shape at the outer corner of your eyes. This look is perfect for making your eyes more dramatic and can be worn for both day and evening.

As well as we saw trends adopt a skimimilistic approach, a demand for clean beauty and a boom in men’s beauty. If you’re struggling to keep up with the latest trends, don’t worry—we’re here to help. Here are three lash and brow trends predicted to be big in 2023.

1. The “Natural” Look

For the past few years, we’ve seen a trend towards more dramatic, “glammed up” lashes and brows. Heavy falsies and thick, dark brows have been all the rage. But according to beauty experts, the tide is beginning to turn back towards a more natural look. Lashes and brows that look like they could be your own—just a little bit better—will be big in 2023.

So if you’re tired of all the upkeep that comes with faking it, rejoice! Natural might be the new glamorous. We recommend a low-maintenance lash lift and a simple brow tint for this look.

2. Short And Sweet

When it comes to lashes, long and luscious has been the name of the game for quite some time now. But that’s all about to change. In 2023, we predict that shorter, more manageable lashes will come back. After all, not everyone is blessed with genetics that gives them mile-long lashes, and sometimes less is more. This trend is also great news for anyone who’s struggled with lash extensions that are too heavy for their own good. You can create this with classic lashes that I’d argue will never go out of fashion. If you’re ready to give your eyes a break, this might be your lash style.

3. Thick And Bushy

Full, thick brows have been steadily gaining popularity over the past few years as women have begun to embrace their natural hair—even if it means eschewing the tweezers now and then. According to our experts, this trend will only continue in 2023, with even more women rocking thick, bushier brows and more natural-looking than ever before. If you’ve been thinking about letting your eyebrows grow out, 2023 might be the year to do it!

I’d recommend using a brow soap or an in-salon lamination treatment to rock those fluffy brows!

Remember, these are just trends—they come and go as quickly as they came into style in the first place. So don’t feel like you need to run out and buy new products or make drastic changes to your look just because something is “in.” But if you’re feeling inspired by one (or all!) of these trends and want to give them a try, go for it! After all, isn’t that what beauty is all about? Experimenting and having fun?  We think so!
