Cosmetic Tattooing

We offer a different style of brow tattoo for everyone, the brows designed will be individual to your complexion, brow texture and preferred look. Nothing will be done with your approval first.

All brow appointments first start with a consultation. We discuss your skin type, any health concerns, desired look before diving designing a shape customised to your facial features. You must approve before tattooing begins.

We offer many colour options depending on your skin tone and complexion. We have a choice of warm or ash tones and will swab pigments on your skin during consultation.

It is best to book an in-person consultation so that we may recommend what options suit you best. Please note all new clients to Bonita beauty bar are treated at new client pricing unless otherwise stated.

Yes, touch up pricing is for previously tattooed Bonita clients and appointment timeframes and pricing are based on your last visit with us.

The initial appointment takes 2-3.5 hours.

Everyone has a different pain threshold, however we use topical numbing throughout to minimise discomfort. Around 90% of clients don’t find it painful but have described it to be similar to a threading or tweezing sensation.

The healing period is 7-10 days. You will be given easy to follow aftercare advice during your appointment.

Yes, of course! We have a range of vegan friendly, cruelty free pigments. We stock 8-10 colours at any given time so there is a colour suited to every skin tone and brow hair.

No it is not. We use different needle configurations, pigments and penetrate a different level of skin.

We try to limit the amount of maintenance required. However you will be required to have a colour boost touch up every 1-3 years. You may also like to wax around your brows to keep them defined and fresh looking.

Lash Extensions

Yes, we can adjust the way we work to may you more comfortable laying down during this service.

You will need to maintain your extensions by getting them infilled every 2-3 weeks. This is due to the natural lash cycle & lifestyle factors.

The initial appointment takes approximately 2 hours depending on the amount of natural lashes.

It’s important to avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours. After this period you will need to wash regularly with a formulated lash shampoo, brush daily and avoid ALL oil based products.

If applied perfectly and accurately, they are harmless and do not destroy the strength of your natural lashes. Make sure you do not rub-down your eyes or tug or pull on the extensions because this will cause lash loss and even damage to your natural lashes.

We offer both classic eyelashes and volumes eyelashes 3D-10D 3D(light volume set) (7D-10D mega volume) (classics most natural- similar to mascara)

Our lashes are made out of synthetic fibers, no animals are harmed with our products.

We offer different thicknesses and lengths. At the time of appointment,  we will consult with you and your preference.

Lash Lifts

Yes, it is best to wait until after the 1st trimester due to hormones

Results last 6-8 weeks depending on the natural lash cycle.

As little as 45 minutes including the tinting process.

Avoid moisture, shampoos, conditioners, makeups, creams, eye serums or oils on the lashes or around the eye area for first 24 hours.

Your natural lash cycle is around 60 days. When your natural lash falls out there is one waiting to take its place. A lash lift will not alter this.

Lash lifts are perfect for both short and long eyelashes, we use different techniques to customise your results.

Lash lift is not a painful treatment.

Brows

Dye can remain on the hair up to 6 weeks, however on the skin will vary depending on skin type and colour depth.

Results last up to 4 weeks.

It’s best to book an in-person consultation so that we may recommend something to suit your skin type and brow texture.

Avoid oily based products and washing the brows directly.

We recommend every 4-6 weeks due to the hair cycle.

Saline Tattoo Removal

Usually, you need anywhere from 1 to 5 treatments to remove a tattoo using saline. It is important to remember to be patient.  Results will vary depending on the pigment, depth and skin type. In some cases, you can have fantastic results after one session; however, we won’t know until we do it how your skin or the pigment will respond.

If you have had permanent makeup such as microblading or powder brows within the last 48 hours and need to have it removed, please contact us immediately. Please call 0481 303 530 direct, send a text and email bonitabeautyinfo@gmail.com if you have not been able to make contact.

It is possible to have it significantly lightened but must be done within this time frame.

This emergency removal procedure does not require needlework and is a simple soak.

Rarely, the tattoo can appear darker after a removal session. In this case, it is because the pigment has been lifted closer to the skin’s surface and, although it doesn’t seem to be, it is, in fact, a good result. Having the colour closer to the skin’s surface means the colour is closer to being extracted.

While we use a local anaesthetic to numb the area being treated, it can sometimes sting. We do apply a formula that contains saline and some glycolic properties that are active when touching the skin.  We encourage holding an electric handheld fan over the area, which we can use during the appointment, which will significantly alleviate this feeling.

During and immediately after the procedure, you may see a small amount of bleeding. Bleeding during the treatment is essential and necessary for creating the “controlled scab.” Scabbing is required to remove the pigment from the skin. Immediately after your session, the skin may appear bright red and tender as a scab starts to form. The scabbing process is critical and will need to shed from the brow area naturally. After the scab falls off, the skin may appear pink or discoloured for a couple of weeks before returning to its original shade, usually by week 4.

The pigment can spread underneath the skin during removal and may rise to the surface before coming out ultimately. In these cases, it may appear that the tattoo has “bled” to surrounding tissue. Pigment bleed, swelling, scabbing and in some cases, the tattoo appearing darker is all part of the process and will be addressed during future sessions. It is important to remember that saline removal is a process. Desirable results take an average of 3-6 sessions depending on the depth and pigment of the unwanted tattoo, among other factors.

The course of treatments is 8-10 weeks apart, allowing the skin to heal underneath the skin’s surface.

You will be given direct aftercare instructions relevant to your skin type however these may include, keeping the area dry, applying an antimicrobial ointment, avoiding make-up to the area and no heavy sweating or exercise during the healing period.
